On Monday, Neighbours fans were left reeling following the surprise appearance of actress Madeleine West on the show.
Madeleine originally played the character Dee Bliss who married Toadie (Ryan Moloney) in 2003. Shortly after their wedding ceremony, however, Toadie accidently drove their car off a cliff. Dee’s body was never found.
Earlier this year, Madeleine returned to Neighbours as imposter Andrea Somers, a lady who pretended to be Dee in order to swindle money out of Toadie. She used her daughter Willow (Mieke Billing-Smith) to worm her way into Toadie’s life. Andrea and Toadie eventually slept together – ultimately ruining Toadie’s relationship with Sonya (Eve Morey) – whose entire life quickly unravelled.
Andrea was eventually exposed as a fake and Toadie and Sonya are finally getting back on track and now… she’s back.
We have no idea if the mystery blonde woman shown on Monday night’s episode is Andrea again, or if in fact, it’s the real Dee?
Is Dee really back from the dead?
Actress Eve Morey, who plays Sonya on the show, has shared her thoughts on Tenplay.
“I think for Toadie and Sonya the worst possible outcome is for Andrea to come back pregnant,” Eve explains. “Because it will mean that she is in their lives forever and there’s this poor child with a horrible mother.
“If it was the real Dee it would also be difficult because it would bring up all Jarrod’s old feelings for her again, but I have always thought that the real Dee would be nice, she wouldn’t try and win him back.
“Nor do I think Jarrod would make the same mistake and go back to her, even if it was the real Dee.”
