The Voice Australia is gearing up for its seventh season next year and three judges have already been announced – Delta Goodrem, Kelly Rowland and Boy George.
But there’s still one more empty chair that needs to be filled. Big celeb names have been thrown around (like Usher) but with no confirmation, we’ll just have to speculate for now. So will an old face return or will it be someone new? Could it be Natalie Bassingthwaighte? TV WEEK asked the singer and former X Factor Australia judge if she’d make a return to the reality singing show.
“Um, sure! Why not?,” she laughed when asked on the 2017 AACTAs red carpet.
“There’s a few things coming up next year and that wasn’t one of them that I’d heard of. But who knows?!”
The singer actress certainly seems keen to take it on, but she’s been busy lately filming her return to soap drama Neighbours as controversial character Izzy Hoyland, after a 10-year hiatus.
So if we don’t see Natalie, 32, on that big red spinning chair of The Voice, at least we’ll see her in Ramsay Street from February 2018.
“It has been so fun being back on set and can’t wait for you to see what shenanigans she is up to now. If you loved to hate her before, you will love to hate her even more!” she said about her comeback.
Izzy played homewrecker to Susan and Karl’s marriage and what ensued was a bitter love triangle. So, will she come back to open old wounds?
We won’t have long to find out!
