Natalie Bassingthwaighte is set to host the revamped renovation hit Changing Rooms when it premieres on TEN and WIN Network in 2019.
Changing Rooms will follow keen and creative Australian couples, who will swap houses with their family, friends or neighbours. Guided by leading designers, each couple will decorate key rooms in each other’s homes before meeting up for a big reveal.
Natalie, who is an actress and musician, is best-known for her roles on TV shows including Neighbours and The Wrong Girl, and as the lead singer of The Rogue Traders. Most recently Natalie, 43, appeared on another I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
Natalie says she is excited to host the revamped series.
“When Network Ten called to ask if I would be interested in hosting a show called Changing Rooms. I said ‘You had me at Changing Rooms’. I absolutely love everything to do with design and I am forever quite literally changing every room in my house! It’s the perfect fit and I am incredibly excited.”
The original version of the series ran on the Nine Network for eight seasons, from 1998 to 2005.
Executive Producer for Changing Rooms, Sarah Thornton, says Network Ten is ‘thrilled’ to have Natalie on board as host for the reboot.
“Natalie is the perfect choice to host Changing Rooms. She is fun, authentic, and engaging, and that is what has made her so popular with Australian television audiences for many years.
“We are thrilled to see her bring a contemporary twist to the original and best home renovation show.”
Changing Rooms will premiere in 2019 on TEN and WIN Network.
