“To go through so many hurdles, ups and downs, and to come out the champions, it’s like a dream come true,” Amy said once the final scores were in.

And it’s not just the title of MKR champions that they’re walking away with, but $250,000 in prize money.

While both teams put up a tough fight during the five course challenge tonight, which saw them serve up 100 dishes, it was Amy and Tyson who came out on top with a grand total score of 57 out of 60. Valerie and Courtney ended the night on 52 points.

But despite the end result, there’s no denying both teams put up very different, yet impressive menus.

While Amy and Tyson’s cold entrée of Parmesan and Truffle Mousse with Mushrooms proved to be a hit with judges Pete and Manu, Courtney and Valerie’s Samosa Crisp with Chat was also highly commended.

For second course, Amy and Tyson served up a delicious Pea and Ham Soup.

“This is what I was expecting. A faultless dish,” Pete said of their duo’s creation.

Meanwhile, Valerie and Courtney opted for Salmon Tikka Skewers with Coriander and Pea Soup.

Next on the menu was the seafood.

We had Butter Poached Marron with Jerusalem Artichoke and Rhubarb from Amy and Tyson followed by spiced Spanish Mackerel with Khichdi from Courtney and Valerie – both were a hit.

But it was Valerie and Courtney’s Pork Vindaloo with Tumeric Cabbage and Beetroot Raita that had everyone’s mouth-watering.

“It is a very confident dish by confident cooks,” Pete commented.

And of course, they saved the best until last.

“It’s perfection,” Pete said of Amy and Tyson’s After Dinner Mint inspired dessert.

A Pistachio Kulfi created by Courtney and Valerie was the icing on the cake.

“An amazing way to finish a five course meal,” Manu said.

Congratulations again to Amy and Tyson on a well deserved win!
