Look out Genoa City, there’s a new man in town and he is sure to send hearts racing. Former telenovela star Jason Canela is said to be joining the cast of The Young And The Restless in the coming months and he already has his eyes set on the ladies.
EW has reported Jason will be taking on the role of a charming building contractor who uses his good looks and charisma to sway a client. Swoon.
The 25-year-old actor is best known for his work on FOX’s show, Pitch, and YouTube Red digital series Long Distance. He’s also starred in several Spanish soaps including ¿Donde Esta Elisa?, Cosita Linda and Ruta 35.
Now in its 44th season, The Young And The Restless is still going strong and recently celebrated 29 consecutive years as daytime’s no.1 drama in the US.
There’s no doubt in our eyes Jason will bring a whole new level of steam to the Y&R set. You just have to check out his Instagram to see the proof, courtesy of many shirtless selfies. And as for talent, it seems to run in the family with three older siblings all in showbiz including brother, actor/singer, Jencarlos Canela.
