Just three days ago Charlene posted a farewell to MAFS on her Instagram account and while her language is a bit vague, her use of past tense when relating to her relationship with Patrick, and then her post sign off “Love awaits…” makes the message pretty easy to work out.
She had confirmed it was all over and love is dead.
Meanwhile Patrick Miller refused to confirm or deny their relationship status. During an interview with Kyle and Jackie O on KIIS FM today, Patrick dodged the question, saying only that he has “many potential candidates” amd even stranger he had shutdown his Instagram account.
Now he’s back, and he’s sharing his side of the story – and in true Patty form it’s just as sweet as you’d expect, but we can still feel the undertones of sadness.
His post was captioned:
“What an experience that was! im incredibly lucky to have gone through this experiment and shared it with you all.
“Thank you Charlene for being part of that. We learnt so much about ourselves, we shared in some awesome experiences and not to mention the wonderful people we met along the way.”
After thanking just about every person involved in the production of MAFS in a lengthy and gushy post, Patrick gives a second shout out to his “ex” Charlene.
“Charlene – my heartfelt wishes for you on your journey for love as we embark on our lives post MAFS…as also the journey for love will also continue in mine.. I wish nothing but the best for you and your future. One thing I do know is you will always have my back!”
It’s signed in “Respect, Kindness and Friendship, Patty.”
While this post may seem positive, anyone who watched this series will recognise that this was man who was truly heart broken.
We bet it won’t be long until Patty the Tiger Cub finds love.
Any fan who was watching the finale was just waiting for the official confirmation – the romantics in us were hoping, just hoping, that the fun-loving pair would find their way back to happy couple land.
But then Charlene confirmed the couple’s split on Instagram and we knew the end had come for the Charls-and-Patty team.
Here’s her post:
Her post is captioned: “That marks the end to a truly amazing once in a lifetime experience!! @pattymiller_mafs we did so well, what an amazing team we were! Thank you for this incredible ride – looking forward to a lifetime of friendship. I cannot even begin to thank the weird and wacky people that came on the ride with me… you guys are so much fun and there are some friendships that I know will extend beyond a lifetime.”
It went on to thank cast and crew, family, friends and so on and then finished with this: “After all of this I will always still say yes to new adventures!!! Love awaits…”
