Love Island Australia is about to hit our screens, so what does this mean for the future of every Aussie couple spawned from the show?
That’s right, Love Island UK poster couple and 2017 winners Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies have confirmed they’re kaput after just five months since they first fell in love back in that incestuous old villa in Spain.
In a statement released to the MailOnine, the golden couple of Love Island explained their hectic work schedules had ultimately been their undoing.
“With sadness, we’ve decided to separate. We fell in love in the villa and want to thank all the fans of the show for supporting us,” they said.
It concluded: “We still have a lot of love for each other and will remain good friends.”
Shedding light on their break-up, an insider told The Sun the Welsh dancer and Essex hairdresser had been bickering a lot lately.
“They’ve been at each other’s necks for the past month. They’ve clashed over the smallest things.”
“It’s also been very hard for them to see each other with their hectic schedules. They tried to make it work but realised they want different things,” the pal revealed.

It’s also been claimed Amber blocked Kem on social media over the weekend.
“They have been arguing a lot recently and things finally came to a head on Saturday,” a source said.
“Amber was out with some of the girls from Love Island’— Olivia Attwood and Georgia Harrison — so blocked Kem on social media to try and enjoy a stress free evening.”
“It was just a silly argument — Kem even sent Amber some flowers to make things right again between them. It’s also been very hard for them to see each other with their hectic schedules. They tried to make it work but realised they want different things and being together was too tough.”
Speaking out on the split, Amber has thanked fans for their support.
“Would just like to say I am incredibly overwhelmed by everyone’s lovely messages and comments. The love and support from you all has been absolutely heartwarming. Thank you so much,” she penned on Twitter.

Since the pair were crowned the winners of Love Island and walked away with a whopping £50,000 prize money, they’ve been inundated with lucrative job offers and endorsements.
Most recently, Kem has landed a role on the upcoming series of the UK’s Dancing on Ice.
After the record ratings the series saw in the UK, Australia is getting its very own Love Island in 2018.
“How awesome will it be to work in Spain in summer. Love Island is like nothing Australia has ever had, it’s right up my alley,” the show’s host Sophie Monk has teased as to what we can expect.
We are so ready!
