It’s that time of year again: the TV Week Logie Awards are officially in precession! And while we don’t know if we’ve fully recovered from watching TV Week favourite Samuel Johnson take out the golden gong last year for his portrayal of music legend Molly Meldrum in Molly, we can’ wait to see what this year’s show will bring.
So, will it be Family Feud frontman Grant Denyer who takes the coveted Gold Logie? Or will The Living Room‘s Amanda Keller pull the trump card ahead of her fellow Gold Logie 2018 nominees?

Grant Denyer wins the Gold Logie! In a raw, emotional moment for the Family Feud host, Grant is brought to tears by the win, dedicating his trophy to his wife, Cheryl.
Samuel Johnson took to the stage to pass the Gold Logie baton to the 2018 winner, but not before speaking about his charity, Love Your Sister.
He said that during the last year, his Gold Logie, took “more selfies than any other Gold Logie before her”. “I made a promise with my sister a few years back to raise 10million for cancer research. She died before we could cure that illness,” he said.
Jacqueline McKenzie played a clip of her daughter Roxy to help prompted her speech when she won the gong for Most Outstanding Actress.
“I’m a little bit distracted tonight, we’ve just welcomed a brand new baby boy into the world. He’s nine weeks premature.” It was a big night for first-time winner Hazem Shammas, of Safe Harbour who took home the Logie for Most Outstanding Supporting Actor.
The Destiny’s Child star had the whole crowd on their feet.
