The polarising former panellist has made a career shift into the world of influencing, that is using her social media accounts to post sponsored content created in collaboration with businesses, brands, venues and more.

Whilst this new career shift may surprise some, for others, it makes sense for Lisa to monetise her 365k strong audience on Instagram.

Despite once being one of the country’s highest paid TV stars, it remains to be seen what Lisa will do post The Project, given her multimillion-dollar deal with Channel 10 is locked in for a number of unconfirmed years.

”It’s time to reprioritise a few things in my life,’ Wilkinson said last month as she announced her exit live on air.

”And after almost 15 years of the early alarm on breakfast TV, and now another five years here at The Project desk, I’m looking at how I want the coming years to play out, both professionally and personally.”

As well as being a burgeoning social media influencer, Lisa is also the author of a bestselling memoir: ”It wasn’t meant to be like this.”

One thing is for sure though – Channel 10 executives will be doing everything they can to make their money’s worth from the TV veteran following her departure from the news and current affairs show in November.

Chief Content Officer for Ten’s owner company Paramount, Beverley McGarvey, confirmed Wilkinson would be staying with the network, saying the company looked forward ”to continuing our strong relationship with Lisa into 2023 and beyond.”

For now, it seems that her new influencer ”fun job” is how she will be making her money with well-placed sources indicated that she is unlikely to return to her ”day job” at Ten until ”well into 2023.”
