On screen, they may rip each other to shreds, but off screen, where the pressure is a little less intense, Victoria’s Josh and Jenna Densten are all happy families – especially when it comes to preparing to start their own. While their focus was 100 per cent on taking out the Reno Rumble crown, the reno faves – who became engaged at the end of the 2011 series of The Block and married ayear later – were overseeing the construction of their dream home on the side.
‘Last year we bought our dream house in North Melbourne, and the plans we had the architect draw up for it were going through council at the time of filming,’ says plumber Josh, 28. ‘It was a bit stressful, but it was also exciting for us because we’ve been renovating and developing houses for other people for years, and it’s nice to finally do our forever house.’
The duo started interior design company Bicker Design after their success on The Block – they also returned to appear in the 2013 All Stars series – and have big plans for the style of their family home.
‘There’s going to be four bedrooms because we’ll probably have a few kids,’ says Josh. ‘We’re keen to get started on the family, but we just want to get our house sorted first.’
