The actor – who played Chris Harrington on the show from 2013 to 2016 – revealed he was diagnosed with brain cancer in August last year.

Appearing on the Kyle & Jackie O show on KISS FM on Tuesday, Johnny says he’s ‘feeling good’.

“I’m feeling good,” Johnny tells the hosts, revealing he is still undergoing treatment.

“I still have it. I’m still doing chemo. I do chemo once a month for 4 or 5 days.”

The 30-year-old actor also compares his brain surgery to the Nicholas Cage and John Travolta movie Face/Off, but says he is “proud of his scar.”

“I like it!” he tells the hosts. “You know I go to the hairdresser and I say, can you make sure you cut along the scar…make it so you can see it.”

“I went through a lot of crap to get this scar.”

The radio hosts asked Johnny about his recent reunion with Home and Away star Lynne McGranger. The actress shared a photo with Johnny last week, writing in the caption ‘Look who I’m working with again today!’

“Is there any truth to the fact you might be going back to Home and Away?” asks Jackie O.

“I don’t know. Maybe. You’ll have to ask [the producers],” Johnny replies mysteriously.

“He [Chris] just went to see his family,” Johnny says of his character’s departure from the series. “Maybe he will come back.”

‘It’s always good to leave it open. You never know.”
