Home And Away star James shared the gorgeous family photo with his five-year-old daughter and ex Jessica.

The 42-year-old captioned the sweet snap: โ€œFirst step into big schoolโ€ฆ I think Jess and I are more nervous than Scoutโ€ฆ Hah! Argh!โ€

Scout looks too cute in her stripes and overalls, and James and Jessica (probably accidentally) coordinated their outfits for the big day.

The pair fell in love on the set of Packed To The Rafters, but called it quits on their relationship in 2015 after six years together.

Jessica and Jamesโ€™ first priority is Scout

The two co-parent little Scout and regularly get together for family occasions. Jess opened up to Stellar magazine about their shared parenting duties.

โ€œLuckily we try to manage and itโ€™s not me on my own with her all the time. She has her father and his family, so we just do the best we can,โ€ the 32-year-old said.

James agreed that their main focus is Scout.

โ€œOnce you realise itโ€™s about Scout, everythingโ€™s easy,โ€ he told Sunday Style.

โ€œJess and I have nothing to hide. I think dignity is the key. We are both out for each otherโ€™s best interests.โ€

Now that The Wrong Girl has wrapped up season two, Jess is putting Scout first before making any decisions about future acting jobs.

โ€œI would love to go back and give it a go, but I just donโ€™t know. Itโ€™s about fitting life in, and life with Scout, and weโ€™re a split family and we have to all think of each other when we make decisions,โ€ she told Stellar.
