It was one of the worst kept secrets on The Bachelorette. but Stu Laundy has won Sophie Monk’s heart, leaving runner-up Jarrod Woodgate heartbroken.
Stu might have showed up to the Bachie mansion late but he quickly swept Sophie off her feet. And, despite throwing a few curve balls her way (ahem, the whole vasectomy and being married thing), there was undeniable chemistry between the two from day one.
But Jarrod isn’t so sure that Sophie has found her happy ever after. In fact, the vineyard manager thinks it won’t be long before Sophie is left heartbroken. Of course, he will be there to pick up the pieces.
“If Sophie picks Stu and realises it was the wrong thing or a mistake and she wanted to chat to me, then I am still in love with Sophie, so of course I am going to open up my arms to [her],” Jarrod spills to NW. “If there’s something that Sophie and I could start up again then that’s a possibility.”
Sounds like Jarrod is ready to be her knight in shining armour. But, while he would love a second chance with Sophie, Jarrod only wants the best for her. “Let’s just hope it doesn’t come to Sophie having to make a decision like that,” he says.
Well, luckily for Soph it doesn’t sound like she will have to because Stu is over the moon that Sophie picked him. And, he can’t wait to settle back into everyday life with his new love.
“I’d love to go out and have a cup of coffee with her and do all the things we haven’t done,” he spills. “I want laughter, I cherish laughter and Soph makes me laugh.”
Aww!
