Australian actress Isabel Lucas is the newest cast member to join MacGyver.
The Home And Away alum will be joining the second season of the reboot, based on a secret agent who gets out of sticky situations with discreet objects like birthday candles and sticky tape.
The news was shared to Instagram yesterday by Isabel’s co-star Justin Hires, who plays Wilt Bozer. He wrote, “And then there was six. Welcome our new cast member for season 2 of ‘MacGyver’ the lovely @isabellucas.”
Isabel herself shared a snap today to Instagram, writing: “I’ve been busy learning how to save the world from impending disasters with bubblegum & paper clips… Thanks to everyone at @macgyvercbs for the warm welcome & fun times!! #totallyposing #butwedoJamesBondstuff”
Lucas Till, who plays Angus ‘Mac’ MacGyver on the show, also shared a welcome snap to social media.
Isabel’s role on the show has been kept under wraps so far, but luckily we won’t have to wait long to find out. The new season airs in the US at the end of this month.
The actress and environmentalist has been quite the busy lady of late. She starred as Anna in this year’s now cancelled series Emerald City, plus she has two films in post-production – Chasing Comets (which she stars alongside Home And Away actor Dan Ewing), and In Like Flynn.
