Will they or won’t they stay together? That’s the question everyone is asking as Seven Year Switch continues to play out on our TV screens.

But during a recent with TV WEEK, fitness fanatic Sarge may have given the status of his relationship with partner Stacey Louise away.

When asked how the couple are doing now that filming has wrapped, Sarge was reluctant to give too many details.

“Look, that’s a hard question to answer,” he says.

“We’re still going through the process post-experiment and you know, that takes time.”

“I think the hardest thing was finding things out from Stacey Louise’s side of the experiment,” Sarge explains.

Sarge admits he has felt disrespected by some of Stacey’s onscreen antics with her experimental partner Johnny.

“Look, as much as it happened a while ago, it is still hard to take. I didn’t respect it, I didn’t like it and I didn’t appreciate it.”

And as for his relationship with his paired partner Tracey, Sarge says the pair are closer than ever.

“We got along really well and still do,” he says.

“After watching four episodes already, I feel like we were the best pair to actually have a go at this experiment. Tracey and Stacey are chalk and cheese. Tracey’s a mother, a little more grounded and a little bit more family orientated but saying that – still really loves to go out, very sociable, loves to just chillax and have a good time. We’re great mates.”

So would Sarge recommend the show to other couples at breaking point?

“It depends on their intentions,” he says.

“I feel that out of the eight cast members from this season, everyone’s intentions were different. Like, I know 100 percent my intentions were the relationship above everything else so I struggle to understand what Stacey Louise’s was.”
