The Astoni’s awkward lunch
Things did not get off to a good start for the Astoni family this week on Home And Away.
After buying the Diner and the Pier, the Astoni’s had lunch with Alf (Ray Meagher), Roo (Georgie Parker), Irene (Lynne McGranger) and Leah (Ada Nicodemou).
It had been friendly – until the business talk started.
Right away, Maggie (Kestie Morassi) offended Leah and Alf when she asked why they didn’t just buy the Pier themselves. Leah was forced to explain that they didn’t have enough money.
To try and smooth things over, Maggie explained that they wanted to honour the current leases, so no one would lose their job. No luck there. Everyone had expected that was a given.
And then to top it all off, Ben (Rohan Nichol) proposed some “revamps”.
That was the final straw for Alf.
“People know what they’re going to get when they come into my shop,” he said. “And they’ve been happy about that for years until you lot blew in.”
Yikes! Will the Astoni’s ever be able to settle in to Summer Bay?
Hunter’s father revealed
This week Hunter’s (Scott Lee) grandmother Peggy (Caroline Gillmer) realised she knew who Hunter’s father was. After telling an old story, the pieces suddenly came together.
Later, she dropped the bombshell on Hunter.
It turned out that his father was Wally Burns. He was Hunter’s grandparents’ much younger, married neighbour. Peggy realised that Wally had stopped coming over to the house about a month before Charlotte found out she was pregnant and then had suddenly moved.
Olivia (Raechelle Banno) convinced Hunter to write a letter to him.
But will he send it?
VJ gets back out there
Sparks flew between VJ (Matt Little) and Coco (Anna Cocquerel) this week.
After initial concerns that VJ preferred older girls, Raffy (Olivia Deeble) devised a plan to help Coco out. She called VJ over and claimed that Coco was her French tutor who was also studying at university.
Raffy’s plan worked so well that VJ worried he – being 18 and in high school – was too young for her!
Luckily, VJ’s friends were there to give him some similar sage advice – avoid bringing up his age.
We are very interested to see how this blossoming relationship pans out…
