Life is immitating art for Home and Away’s Jake Ryan, who just announced he’s expecting his first child with his girlfriend Alice Quiddington. Jake’s character Robbo is currently expecting a baby with Tori on the hit soap.
The 35-year-old actor shared the happy news with his fans on Instagram, posting a picture showing off Alice’s growing baby bump.
“Anyone know what you get when you cross a Polar Bear and a Squid?????” he joked in the caption.
Jake’s co-stars were quick to offer their congratulations to the pair.
“I TOLD you this would happen!” wrote Penny McNamee, his on-screen pregnant partner. “Soooo thrilled for you Jakey! If it’s a girl – consider her wardrobe sorted.”
Georgie Parker, Lynne McGranger, Sarah Roberts, and Esther Anderson all offered their congratulations in the comments as well.
Alice and Jake’s first public post together was shared in January, on his Instagram account.
The actor shared a selfie from a day out in Broken Head Nature Reserve, again referring to them by the nicknames “squid” and “polar bear.”
“A squid and a Polar bear in a sick red hat on a white beach,” he captioned the sweet snap.
