The 61st TV WEEK Logie Awards will be held at The Star Gold Coast in Queensland on Sunday, June30. The nominations for the 2019 Logies have just been announced at a star-studded event in Queensland.
Some of your favourite stars from shows including Neighbours, Home and Away, Wentworth and Doctor Doctor were on hand to celebrate the nominations, with all eyes on the Gold category in particular.
This year, there are seven nominees for The TV WEEK Gold Logie Award for Most Popular Personality On Australian TV.
Allow us to introduce you to your nominees: Amanda Keller, Costa Georgiadis, Eve Morey, Rodger Corser, Sam Mac, Tom Gleeson and Waleed Aly.
This is Amanda Keller’s second TV WEEK Gold Logie Award nomination, having been in the race alongside Grant Denyer in 2018. Along with Gold, Amanda is nominated for Most Popular Presenter.
The legendary Australian television star is nominated for her roles on Network 10, as presenter of The Living Room and co-host of Dancing With The Stars.
Costa Georgiadis is a first-time nominee, up for the TV WEEK Gold Logie Award and Most Popular Presenter Award this year.
He’s been the host of Gardening Australia since 2012. The series has been nominated for the Most Popular Lifestyle Program award three times including this year, but this is Costa’s first solo nomination – and he’s up for two awards!
Sam Mac has been nominated for the TV WEEK Gold Logie Award after launching his own ‘Mac The Logies Great Again’ campaign.
This is the first time the Sunrise weather presenter has been nominated for a Logie!
Rodger Corser is nominated for the Gold Logie Award for the third consecutive year, along with his nomination for Most Popular Actor.
His series, Doctor Doctor, is also nominated for Most Popular Drama and Most Outstanding Drama Series
Eve Morey has also been nominated for multiple awards, after a strong push from her devoted Neighbours fan-base in the wake of her character, Sonia’s, tragic death.
Along with her TV WEEK Gold Logie Award nomination, Eve is up for Most Popular Actress, while the hit soap is up for Most Popular Drama and Most Outstanding Drama Series.
Like many of his fellow Gold nominees, Tom Gleeson is also up for the Most Popular Presenter Award and TV WEEK Gold Logie Award.
His series, Hard Quiz, is also nominated for Most Popular Entertainment Program.
Last, but not least, Waleed Aly is a three-time winner, having won the Gold Logie Award and Silver Logie for Most Popular Presenter in 2016. He picked up the same Presenter Award a year later in 2017.
This year, he’s nominated for the TV WEEK Gold Logie Award and Most Popular Presenter Award. Plus, The Project is nominated for Most Popular Panel or Current Affairs Program.
The 2019 TV WEEK Logie Awards will be held at The Star Gold Coast in Queensland on June 30.
