As we ring in the new year – and with it, a whole slate of new TV shows – we’ve been left wondering when we’d be reunited with our favourite families on Gogglebox.
Fans can currently catch former Goggleboxers’ Angie and Yvie on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Though, that sees our beloved gals doing a little more bug-eating and a little less TV critiquing.
Thankfully, we don’t have long to wait until we can catch up with the rest of the gang. Channel 10 has confirmed the show will be returning to our screens in February!
Gogglebox will premiere on Foxtel’s Lifestyle Channel on Wednesday, February 6th at 7:30pm, and the following day Thursday February 7th at 8:30 pm on Channel 10.
In December last year, two households announced their departure from the series.
“After eight amazing seasons Angie and Yvie, and Wayne and Tom, have decided it’s time to switch off their TVs and farewell Gogglebox,” the show shared in a statement.
“We wish you all the best and thank you for all of your incredible TV watching! You will always be a part of the Gogglebox family.”
The two duos will be replaced by one new household in the ninth season, with 10 set to make an announcement soon.
Along with the new recruits, season nine will see the return of familiar faces with the rest of the main cast: best friends Anastasia and Faye; happily married couple Lee and Keith; the Jackson Family; the Delpechitra Family; best mates Adam and Symon; Mick and Di; the Dalton Family; married couple Matty and Sarah Marie and their friend Jad; and the three generations of women in the Silbery Family.
Best mates Adam and Symon are one of the many duos making a return.
Gogglebox airs Thursday February 7th at 8:30pm on Channel 10.
