For former I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! and My Kitchen Rules contestant Ash Pollard, that’s just a regular day in the office for her series, Foodie Adventures With Ash Pollard.

Ash’s show takes her to the most delectable corners of the world, where she’s taught recipes by esteemed chefs.

“I’m a firm believer in expanding one’s palate and trying something new everywhere you travel,” Ash, 32, tells TV WEEK.

Ash enjoys the sights and flavours of exotic locations.

“A pho [Vietnamese soup] in Australia is vastly different to a pho in Vietnam. Same with a taco in Mexico, or a bowl of pasta in Italy… If you want the real thing, go to where it originated.”

As part of her hosting duties, Ash re-creates dishes she’s learnt abroad and serves them to friends back home in Melbourne.

You might recognise her guests: Aussie personalities and fellow I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here! contestants Joel Creasey, Kris Smith, Dane Swan, Nazeem Hussain, Casey Donovan and Steve Price.

“I really made it my mission to find recipes from across the globe that are simple,” Ash says.

“I want viewers to create delicious food in their own homes, so that’s what I set out to learn.”

According to Ash, atmosphere is also key for entertaining at home.

“Smaller spaces, ambient lighting, candles, appropriate music, and a creative yet classic table setting are a great start,” she says.

“Then, of course, a simple, impressive spread will be the kicker.”

Ash also released an e-book in 2017 titled Eat Me which features her favourite at home recipes.

Foodie Adventures With Ash Pollard airs Saturday October 13 at 4:30pm on Network Ten.
