Channel Seven has released two teasers of the new teams and couples, but so far, we only know the names of two contestants – Kim and Soung.

The two women were refugees and have come onto the show for their families – and for each other. “This is the opportunity of a lifetime,” Soung said. The pair get emotional in the promo, and honestly, we got a little choked up too. (Check out the video above!)

The second promo clip gives us a glimpse at more of the contestants – and we love them already. Here’s what we’ve learnt about the teams so far…

There are these two women who have started their own lingo, like cocky (cocktail), moshy (emotional) and, er, FAJ (fresh apple juice).

And of course, it wouldn’t be MKR without at least one of the contestants having a crush on host Manu Fieldel. The blonde woman loves him so much she can barely look him in the eye.

These ladies are going to be SO MUCH FUN.

Then there’s this guy who looks like he’s having an out-of-body experience every time there’s food in front of him. Even Manu had a crack at mocking his bizarre facial expressions.

He really loves food.

Literally his only expression.

There’s another contestant who clearly hasn’t had real ravioli in his life. What a tragedy.

“I don’t know much about ravioli,” he says on the teaser. “Thought it might be a bit softer from what I’ve had from Coles and all that before.”

Oh boy.

Lover of Coles ravioli.

Then there are these guys who seem normal enough… for now.

Loves a good joke.
