It’s a major upset to Network Ten, who he was with for over a decade hosting Bondi Vet, The Living Room and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here, along with stints behind the desk at The Project.

2023 will be the last year that Dr Chris Brown hosts I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here! alongside Julia Morris.

In his latest TV endeavour, Seven has confirmed Dr Chris Brown’s first three projects with the network set to air in 2024.

In a post shared to Daryl Somers ‘Hey Hey it’s Saturday’ Facebook page, the former Dancing With The Stars host revealed he is handing “the Mirror Ball” to Chris.

“Hi all. Just want to confirm the speculation that I will not be hosting Dancing With The Stars in 2024,’ he began his statement. “Seven let me know recently that they have signed Chris Brown to the network full-time and amongst his commitments he will be hosting DWTS.”

“I realise how fortunate I have been to have had such a long and wonderful run with the programme. Over a twenty year span, starting in 2004, I have completed ten series, the last one being a huge ratings success. Off the back of that I am happy to hand the Mirror Ball over to Chris and wish him all the very best. He should enjoy working with a great team both in front of and behind the camera.”

In addition, Chris will produce and host the new adventure series, Dream Home! The new series will explore “mind-blowing” scenery, incredible animals, and of course the renovation competition will see a home transformed into an Australian dream home.

Speaking on his new project, Chris revealed he cannot wait to combine wildlife and home on-screen.

“To be able to bring my world of animals to life in an original, adventurous and breathtaking way truly excites me,” he said.

“I can’t wait for the world’s wildlife and the search for Australia’s best Dream Home to land in our lounge rooms in 2024.”

This confirmation puts an end to months of speculation regarding where the beloved veterinarian would go. Insiders even told the Daily Mail that Chris would kick-off his latest stint at Seven with a home improvement show.

It was believed Chris would revive Home Rules, which was axed in 2020.

Chris will also be hosting another brand new show called Once In A Lifetime, where he has celebrity guests acting as his veterinary assistants. Chris will be “pushed to his limits in the pursuit of the ultimate animal encounter.”

And as to the number of projects Chris will host and produce remains unknown, but we have no doubt Seven will use the loveable TV character to their advantage.

The Daily Mail alleged Chris signed a multi-year deal with Seven back in February, with his contract seeing him “produce unspecified new projects” for the network.

Meanwhile, Seven West Media boss James Warburton told the Daily Telegraph: “We are very pleased to welcome Chris back to Seven. It’s been too long.”
