While there’s much to celebrate about the return of Poldark, star Aidan Turner has dealt a heavy blow to fans.
According to Aidan, we can expect a significant drop in the number of shirtless shots of Ross Poldark.
“Am I keeping my clothes on? I think the clothes stay on this year,” Aidan says. “Maybe there’s some topless sleeping. I swear to God I can’t remember if the clothes come on and off.”
WHY DO THEY INSIST ON DEPRIVING US OF THIS?
AND THIS!
AND THIS!
While this news is bitterly disappointing, there’s still hope of more shirtless scything to come – perhaps from new additions Harry Richardson and Tom York.
Harry and Tom will play Demelza’s brothers Drake and Sam in season three of the series.
By the sounds of things, Harry is willing to step up where needed.
“More than one of us get our top off. I’m so ready for all the attention,” Harry says. “I don’t think anyone can compete with Aidan, let’s be honest.”
He makes a valid point, but we’ll award bonus points for trying.
Other fresh faces joining the cast for season three include Josh Whitehouse who will play aristocrat Hugh Armitage, as well as Ciara Charteris joining as Emma Tregirls who will be Sam (Tom York’s) love interested.
While there is no official date for season three to return to our screens we may not have to wait too long, it’s expected to start airing in the UK next month.
The third series will be based on the fifth and sixth books from Winston Graham’s Poldark series.
A fourth season of the TV series has already been given the green light with filming scheduled to begin in September.
