After two tumultuous seasons working alongside British pop star Jessie J on The Voice Australia, coach Delta Goodrem admits the addition of US songstress Kelly Rowland to the big red chairs has been music to her ears.
“I absolutely love Kelly,” Delta, 32, says, adding fans won’t see any bickering or tension on screen this season.
“I’m so thrilled to have such a beautiful girl out there with me and we’re having so much fun. It’s just honestly been so fresh and so fun.”
Of the duo’s special bond, Delta admits she was a huge fan of Destiny’s Child growing up.
“I mean, who wasn’t?,” she says.
“I have so much respect for Kelly and she’s incredibly intelligent, talented, classy and I’m thrilled she’s on the panel. I laughed more during the blind auditions than I think I ever have. I think I cried laughing at least twice or three times.”
And the feeling is mutual with Kelly, 36, revealing she has a girl crush on our Australian sweetheart.
“We’re pretty much going to have a love fest,” she told Today Extra.
“She is the sweetest.”
Kelly is just as enamoured with Australia. According to her Instagram, the singer has been having a wonderful time in Sydney while filming The Voice.
While Kelly has been flying back and forth to Australia, Delta represented The Voice at the TV WEEK Logie Awards on the weekend. She looked stunning in a custom dress by designer Steven Khalil.
