Delta Goodrem has hit headlines for all the wrong reasons in recent weeks, and with animosity towards her only getting worse, she’s been left with no option but to speak out and defend herself.
The Voice coach, 32, has been slammed by viewers for “b——- theatrics” during the show’s blind auditions, but last week she came under fire once more for her harsh critique of 20-year-old Liz Conde’s rendition of Whitney Houston’s I Will Always Love You – with one fan going so far as to brand her a “bitch.”
“The criticism is all just water off a duck’s back because the reality of what I get to live with is very different,” Delta says.
“I have only the intention of making people’s day better and if someone has an intention that’s the opposite of that, then that’s their problem.”
But in spite of her nonchalant attitude in the press, sources tell Woman’s Day Delta believes someone is out to get her and she’s almost certain who it is.
Now she’s secretly on a mission to expose the traitor.
“Delta’s convinced someone on The Voice is trying to make her look bad. The way she’s promoted on the show gives so much ammunition to the haters and to trolls,” an on-set source tells Woman’s Day.
“She knows it’s someone close to her and is devastated it keeps happening.”
