Ahead of the event (which will air on Sunday 23rd April) Logies Ambassador Dannii Minogue tells us what she thinks of the nominees up for Best New Talent and the Graham Kennedy Award For Most Outstanding Newcomer.

Elias Anton

Elias Anton (Barracuda, ABC)

Dannii says: “I reckon he’s on a bullet train, this one. He knows exactly where he wants to go. He has such a strong will inside of him, but he is also just so green – he’s so fresh.”

Hunter Page-Lochard

Hunter Page-Lochard (Cleverman, ABC)

Dannii says: “This dude is incredible! He loves music and rap. He did these amazing videos dancing in a supermarket. I said, ‘Can I dance with you in the supermarket?’ I think we should do it in Bunnings.”

Geraldine Hakewill

Geraldine Hakewill (Wanted, Channel Seven)

Dannii says: “She reminds me of an English rose. She’s very elegant. Her social media posts are very interesting. She’s quite quirky, but talented to bring all of the humour that she did to Wanted.”

Tilda Cobham-Hervey

Tilda Cobham-Hervey (The Kettering Incident, FOXTEL – SHOWCASE)

Dannii says: “I only know her from this role. I’m sure she’s got so much more she can do with her training and background. But she doesn’t rely on her looks, which is a clever start for such a beautiful girl.”

Tiarnie Coupland

Tiarnie Coupland (Love Child, Nine Network)

Dannii says: “She’s so elegant. For such a baby, she’s got her head totally screwed on the right way.”

Shalom Brune-Franklin

Shalom Brune-Franklin (Doctor Doctor, Nine Network)

Dannii says: “She’s so funny, so cute. When I saw her in this, I don’t know if she does theatre work as well, but she seemed like she does. She’s gorgeous on the screen.”

Hayley Magnus

Hayley Magnus (The Wrong Girl, Network Ten)

Dannii says: “I love to see how she builds a character. I think it’s something about the vulnerability and it’s almost like her character… it’s like if you broke something and you glued it back together.”

Rob Collins

Rob Collins (Cleverman/The Wrong Girl, ABC/Network Ten)

Dannii says: “The camera loves him. He’s shown the difference in his skill from Cleverman to The Wrong Girl – such different parts. He hasn’t typecast himself – he can do anything.”

Penny McNamee

Penny McNamee (Home and Away, Channel Seven)

Dannii says: “She is just divine, and the audience connects with her. Her work jumps out of the camera to people at home. She’s very natural. I looked through her social media posts and she’s just so fun.”
