Throughout the years, Celebrity Apprentice Australia has seen countless Aussie stars try to show off their business prowess to win big bucks for charity.

From Patti Newton and Esther Anderson to David Hasselhoff and Martha Kalifatidis, it seems nearly every local TV personality has thrown their hat in the ring since the show’s 2011 inception.

But Celebrity Apprentice, first hosted by businessman Mark Bouris before later being taken over by Lord Alan Sugar, has only seen six winners in its history.

While some are big-name celebrities we still see every time we turn on our televisions, others have opted for a life out of the spotlight since their victory.

Julia Morris, 2011

Julia said Celebrity Apprentice reinvigorated her career.

Since taking out the inaugural Celebrity Apprentice Australia (and raising $200,000 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation) back in 2011, Julia Morris’ star has risen exponentially.

Most notably, Julia has gone on to host Australia’s Got Talent and I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! however she also landed an acting role in Nine’s hugely popular drama House Husbands.

In fact, the comedian credits Celebrity Apprentice with reinvigorating her career.

“It was a great turning point. I was in my early 40s, living in Los Angeles at the time, chipping my way through the system. I flew home for Celebrity Apprentice and when I realised I’d won, I said to my family, “I think it’s time to ride this wave”,” she told TV WEEK in June 2022.

“I didn’t know if there’d be a wave, but that was that.”

Ian ‘Dicko’ Dickson, 2012

Dicko beat out Amazing Race Australia Nathan Jolliffe to win the second season of Celebrity Apprentice Australia in 2012, raising more than $200,000 for the Australian Children’s Music Foundation.

During the season, viewers warmed to Dicko’s softer side, which was in contrast to his hard-as-nails persona on Australian Idol‘s judging panel.

After his win, Dicko returned to radio in 2013 as the breakfast host on Sydney talkback AM radio station 2UE, however the show came to an end in 2014.

The following year, Dicko appeared alongside Kelly Osbourne, Sophie Monk and Eddie Perfect on the judging panel for the revamped Australia’s Got Talent.

In 2016, Dicko appeared in the second season of SBS’ First Contact, where he was one of six well known Australians spending a month living in remote Indigenous communities.

More recently in 2021, Dicko took part in Channel Seven’s Holey Moley, where he reprised his role as pirate “Dead-Eye Dicko”.

Stephanie Rice, 2013

Stephanie Rice was just 25 when she won the third season.

The Olympic gold medallist was just 25 when she won the third season of Celebrity Apprentice Australia, winning $181,750 for The Heart Foundation.

A year after her foray into reality TV, Stephanie retired from professional swimming. She was inducted to the International Swimming Hall of Fame in 2019.

Since retiring, the now-34-year-old has coached in the United States and worked with Channel 7 on commentary of the Tokyo Games.

Sophie Monk, 2015

After a two-year hiatus, Celebrity Apprentice was back and better than ever, with TV icon Sophie Monk taking out the 2015 season.

Sophie, who narrowly beat Big Brother favourite Tim Dormer, raised a whopping $263,412 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Since then, it hasn’t been hard to keep up with Sophie, who’s remained a television regular.

Sophie appeared as a judge on Australia’s Got Talent in 2015 and has hosted Beauty and the Geek and Love Island. However, arguably her biggest gig to date has been her lead role on The Bachelorette in 2017.

While the 42-year-old didn’t find everlasting love with her final pick Stu Laundy, she’s since settled down with husband Joshua Gross.

The couple tied the knot in an intimate at-home ceremony in March 2022.

Shaynna Blaze, 2021

Celebrity Apprentice returned in 2021 with a brand new boss – Lord Alan Sugar.

After six years off air, Celebrity Apprentice returned in 2021 with a brand new host – British billionaire businessman Lord Alan Sugar.

The Block judge Shaynna Blaze proved her business prowess to Lord Sugar and won the fifth season, raising a whopping $489,000 for family violence charity Voice of Change.

Although it’s only been a little over a year since her Celebrity Apprentice victory, the 59-year-old has kept busy.

With her children Carly and Jess as writers and co-directors, Shaynna executive produced The Fort, a feature film about a woman’s battle to escape her abusive marriage.

Shaynna will be back on our screens later this year when The Block returns for its 18th season.

Benji Marshall, 2022

Benji Marshall was the unlikely hero of the latest season.

Benji Marshall had just announced his retirement from the NRL when he took part in the latest season of Celebrity Apprentice.

The footy legend pleasantly surprised fans – and Lord Sugar – with his business acumen, ultimately being crowned the winner and raising $547,105 for his charity Souths Cares.

Since his victory, the father-of-two has assisted his former team, the Wests Tigers, with membership and foundation events throughout the 2022 season.
