Stan has unveiled the first official trailer for its highly-anticipated original series Bloom, which is due to premiere on New Year’s Day.
The mystery drama series is all about ‘the scarcity of time and the choices we make’.
One year after a devastating flood kills five locals in an idyllic country town, a mysterious new plant appears with the power to restore their youth. It’s a miracle gift that some will kill to keep secret.
Bloom will premiere on New Year’s Day.
The six-part series stars two-time Academy Award nominee Jacki Weaver, along with Bryan Brown, Phoebe Tonkin and Ryan Corr.
Also starring in the ensemble cast are Daniel Henshall, Sam Reid, Genevieve Morris, Anne Charleston, Terry Norris, Amali Golden, Nikki Shiels, Tessa Rose, John Stanton and Rod Mullinar.

In the new trailer, viewers are introduced to married couple Gwen (Jackie) and Ray (Bryan). With Gwen’s Alzheimer’s taking a toll on her health, Ray gives his wife some of the plant in an attempt to support her and keep her alive.
Gwen is rejuvenated by the plant, but being young will suddenly create a tug of war between her adult self and her adolescent cravings…
