Production has commenced in Victoria this week, for the second season of Stan’s mystery drama Bloom.
Jacki Weaver (Gwendolyn Reed), Bryan Brown (Ray Reed) and Phoebe Tonkin (young Gwen) are returning to their roles in the TV WEEK Logie Award-winning drama.
Also returning from the first season are Genevieve Morris (Rhonda Stokes), John Stanton (Max McKinnon), Anne Charleston (Loris Webb), Terry Norris (Herb Webb) and Thomas Ersatz (Shane).
Stan, along with Screen Australia and Film Victoria, have confirmed a mix of rising stars and Aussie screen legends will be joining season two.
The new line-up includes Jacqueline McKenzie (Romper Stomper), Gary Sweet (House Husbands), Bella Heathcote (Strange Angel), Toby Schmitz (Black Sails), Jackson Heywood (Home and Away), Scott Lee (Home and Away), Ed Oxenbould (Puberty Blues) and Lucy Barrett (Neighbours).
Stan’s Chief Content Officer, Nick Forward, says the second season of Bloom will “deliver audiences another captivating season in 2020.”

Playmaker’s David Maher adds some insight to what’s in store for the second season.

“Our story takes a gripping turn in series two with human remorse caught in a struggle between science and religion. We can’t wait to bring the next instalment to life.”
Bloom Season Two will premiere exclusively on Stan in 2020.
