After a controversial week on My Kitchen Rules, Betty and David managed to get through their instant restaurant round relatively unscathed. While their dessert wasn’t their best work, Betty was happy with their performance overall.
“I was so excited to show them that we can cook and that we can do our family proud,” she tells TV WEEK.
“I gave it everything I had. I cooked with so much love and so much happiness. It felt so good!” She says.
The friends now sit at third place on the leader board. While they always seem calm, cool and collected in the kitchen, Betty admits that the pressure is hard to manage.
“I shut down when the pressure gets to me,” she admits. “I don’t talk much, and that’s how you can tell, because I’m trying to control my emotions as well.”
The pressure was too much for Court on My Kitchen Rules last night.
In last night’s episode, fellow contestant Court stormed out, unable to cope with the experience.
“I don’t blame Court for breaking down and crying like that. Because that’s something I would have done as well,” Betty sympathises. “You’ve only got so many minutes to cook. You’ve got all these people around… it does get to you.”
