Their engagement ended years ago, but Benji Madden may still have our 2017 Bachelorette Australia star Sophie Monk on his mind.
And now, insiders tell us the rockstar has reached out to his ex-fiancee after she was announced as the Bachelorette.
Despite his calls going unanswered, he contacted Soph again after hearing reports of a split from the show’s winner.

“Sophie used to be such a huge part of his life,” a friend tells NW.
“Putting her heart on the line so publicly is a big deal – he just wanted to wish her well and make sure she was doing OK.”
But Benji’s attempts to reconnect haven’t gone down well with Sophie.
In fact, she has resorted to extreme measures to avoid contact with not just Benji but all her exes including Jason Statham and Sam Worthington.
“She doesn’t want her exes threatening her happy ever after,” our source explains.
“I have blocked every single one’s number’s,” Sophie says.
Though Benji and his wife Cameron Diaz are going strong, no-one like a third wheel!
“Nothing will ever happen with Sophie and Benji,” says an insider.
“But Cam doesn’t like that she’s still on his mind.”
