With the new season of The Bachelor* airing on Wednesday, July 26th, we can’t get enough of anything and everything Bachie right now.
But until we get to meet the girls vying for Matty J’s final rose – fingers crossed there are a few pot stirrers! – we thought we’d check in with a few of our fave former contestants and see what they’re up to…
Bec Chin – Sam Wood’s season
She placed 9th, but fan-fave Bec wasn’t nursing a broken heart for too long. Just months after getting the boot, she was swept off her feet by hunky amateur boxer Dean Vee and in June the couple revealed that their party of two was soon to become three.
“Bec & I are SUPER EXCITED to announce that Baby Vee will be arriving Jan 2018!!!” Dean wrote on Instagram on June 22.
Louise Pillage – Blake Garvey’s season
Louise and Blake’s romance started with a whole lotta drama. ICYMI, he originally propped to Sam Frost, but dumped her for runner up Louise before the finale aired.
And it was all for nothing in the long run, given Louise and Blake called it quits in April 2016 after 18 months.
These days Louise is living in the Gold Coast as a lifestyle blogger and a scroll through her Insty feed seems to indicate she’s loving life. She’s also had a major makeover, swapping her blonde hair for a gorgeous brunette shade.
Ali Oetjen – Tim Robards’ season
Remember back in Season One when Ali was left heartbroken after hunky PT and physiotherapist Tim rejected her? Well, a lot has changed!
Ali is now a fitness guru – perhaps Tim inspired her? – and works for the Australian Radio Network.
She also got her fairy-tale ending… She and finance Dave Waldeck are busily planning their December wedding after getting engaged back in 2015.
“When two souls are meant to be together nothing gets in the way of their love for each other,” she said at the time. Aww!
Rochelle Emanuel Smith – Tim Robards’ season
Rochelle was left heading home empty handed after the season finale and later admitted she was crushed. “I was heartbroken about Tim,” she said.
After the show, Rochelle spent time with her family and worked on herself before dating an American man for six months. She’s also gone on to obtain a teaching degree and does some promotional modelling.
Amber Gelinas – Blake Garvey’s season
It’s impossible to forget Amber. She was the drama queen that we tuned in for every episode.
Shortly after leaving the Bachie Mansion, the model-actress met her current fella Charles.
“I love you so much Charles… thanks for being by my side,” she captioned a loved-up snap of them last September. Cute!
Laurina Fleure – Blake Garvey’s season
Thanks to her dirty street pie comment, Laurina will always be one of the most memorable Bachelorettes in Aussie history.
After placing sixth, Laurina then competed in the second season of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, this time coming in third behind Paul Harragon and winner Brendan Fevola.
As for her dating life? In 2015 Laurina started a relationship with Lewis Romano. And while engagement buzz surrounded them, they split last October.
She’s now dating hunky businessman Nicholas Agnew, with a source recently telling The Daily Mail. “He treats her really well and she is completely smitten!”
Heather Maltman – Sam Wood’s season
Heather was blindsided when Sam sent her packing following the final four hometown visits.
After leaving the mansion she began dating fellow actor Andrew Steele. Unfortunately, it wasn’t meant to be with the couple splitting after nine months.
As for what she’s up to career-wise, Heather is still doing the acting thing and works as a radio host for the Gold Coast’s 909 Sea FM. She also hosted I’m A Celeb’s companion series I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here Now! with comedian Joel Creasey.
Sam Frost- Blake Garvey’s season
Sam’s certainly been a busy girl since she was dumped by Blake – which left her available to become our first ever Bachelorette.
She thought she’d found The One in winner Sasha Mielczarek, but the pair split in December after 18 months together. She’s since moved on with Aussie naval officer Dave Bashford.
Meanwhile, last week it was revealed she’d scored a recurring role on iconic soap Home & Away – just weeks after her radio show with Rove McManus was axed.
Snezana Markoski – Sam Wood’s season
Out of everyone who’s appeared on Bachie, we just can’t get enough of Sam and Snez.
After falling head over heels, Perth-based Snezana soon moved her and her daughter Eve across the country to shack up with Sam in his native Melbourne. The lovebirds then announced in December 2015 that they’d finally gotten engaged.
But in the best news yet, they revealed in May that they’d pressed paused on their wedding plans because they were expecting the first Aussie Bachie bub!
The couple chatted to [NW]( https://www.nowtolove.com.au/celebrity/celeb-news/sam-wood-snezana-markoski-bachelor-baby-37618|target=”_blank” about the exciting news.
“It was a bit of a surprise,” Snez revealed, “We obviously wanted to try and extend our family, but because we were set on planning the wedding and getting that done, we thought, “Let’s just have the wedding first and then get back to trying for a baby.”
But, the pair couldn’t be more thrilled for the new addition to the family. “I’ve always wanted to have kids. I love kids,” gushed Sam.
Keira Maguire – Ritchie Strahan’s season
Keira ruffled more than a few feathers during her time and became the mansion’s resident villain. But since getting the boot in week 8, she quickly became one of the series’ biggest breakout stars and has barely stepped out of the spotlight.
As well as documenting her plastic surgery spree, she also scored a spot on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! and was set to head to the US to appear on Bachelor in Paradise before scandal rocked the set and filming was postponed.
“It was a sign when I got the call about the show being cancelled, it was a weight off my shoulders,” Keira revealed to NW.
