Amanda Keller has been announced as one of seven nominees for the Gold Logie Award at the 2019 TV WEEK Logie Awards.
The Living Room and Dancing With The Stars presenter says she’s “thrilled” to be nominated, alongside Costa Georgiadis, Eve Morey, Rodger Corser, Sam Mac, Tom Gleeson and Waleed Aly.
Amanda has previously been nominated for the Most Popular Presenter award four times, and was a nominee for the Gold Logie last year.
Meanwhile her series, The Living Room, has been nominated six times and has won the Most Popular Lifestyle Program award four times.
“I always thought the Gold Logie was for hugely deserving grown-ups,” she told TV WEEK of her nomination in 2018, this year proving once again that she is, in fact, a hugely deserving grown-up.
Amanda is nominated for four Logies in 2019, including Gold, Most Popular Presenter, Most Popular Entertainment as part of Dancing With The Stars, and Most Popular Lifestyle Program as part of The Living Room.
Her 2019 Logies campaign had plenty of support from her co-stars, including her WSFM co-host Brendan “Jonesy” Jones and her Dancing With The Stars co-host Grant Denyer.
Grant was even endorsing Amanda back in his 2018 Gold Logie acceptance speech.
“I wasn’t expecting to stand up here tonight,” Grant told the crowd. “I definitely thought it was Amanda Keller’s night tonight. She’s a remarkable human being.”
Starting out as a researcher in 1983, Amanda’s television career has spanned over three decades, with the 57-year-old star working on a multitude of shows.
Her first TV credit was for her role as host of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, followed the same year by her first role as a reporter on Beyond 2000. Since then, she’s gone on to appear on shows including Denton, Spicks and Specks, Good News Week, Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation, and Have You Been Paying Attention?.
Most recently, she’s co-hosted Dancing With The Stars with Grant Denyer. She’s also been a presenter alongside Barry Du Bois, Miguel Maestre and Dr Chris Brown for seven years on The Living Room.
As an actress, she played Jessica Browe in Pizza, Amanda Doyle in Swift and Shift Couriers, Mayor Rees in Housos and the very exciting cameo of Reporter in The Bold and The Beautiful.
Outside of her booming career, Amanda has been married to Harley Oliver since 1989. They share two sons together, Liam and Jack, who recently surprised her on-air for The Living Room’s Mother’s Day special.
Sharing a photo with her two boys on set on Instagram, she wrote their presence on the show was her present for the day.
“On tonight’s @livingroomtv Mother’s Day special, my gorgeous sons Jack and Liam surprise me! They even cooked up a storm with @thecrazybull in my kitchen without me knowing..AND they washed up! That’s my present right there!”
