Hit Foxtel drama A Place To Call Home, which won Most Outstanding Drama Series at this year’s TV WEEK Logie Awards, returns Sunday night!
Season five transports fans four years beyond last season. And it promises to serve up another intoxicating cocktail of power, privilege, love and scandal – all the things we love about this sumptuous period drama.
Are Sarah Adams (Marta Dusseldorp) and George Bligh (Brett Climo) finally a happy couple? And, if so, will they remain that way? And what has become of the now institutionalised Regina Bligh (Jenni Baird)? We have so many questions!
Well let us just say this: Season five has it all – power, privilege, love and scandal.
Can’t remember where we left off? We recap the season four finale…
Anna’s Anguish: With her marriage over, Anna (Abby Earl) rushed to the Poletti farm to farewell Gino (Aldo Mignone). Sadly, he’d already left with Rose O’Connell (Brenna Harding).
Regina’s Downfall: Regina threatened to hurt baby David. Sarah turned the tables on her and was poised to shoot her. Eventually, doctors took Regina to a mental asylum.
Private lives: James (David Berry) and Olivia (Arianwen Parkes-Lockwood) avoided raising suspicion about James’ homosexuality.
Wedded Bliss: Elizabeth (Noni Hazlehurst) and Douglas (Robert Coleby) married at Ash Park in the final episode. The Blighs and Sarah, George and David were there to celebrate.
In the next season, time has passed and Sarah and George’s son, David, is now four.
