High-spirited businessman Jon has a simple life motto: “Everything happens for a reason.” That statement becomes pivotal to the heartwarming new drama series, A Million Little Things.
Jon (Ron Livingston), is regarded as everyone’s best friend and confidante. So when he jumps off his office balcony, his long-time mates Eddie (David Giuntoli), Rome (Romany Malco) and Gary (James Roday) – who all met when they were once stuck in a lift together – struggle to find truth in his mantra.
“Perfect Jon” was a man who seemingly had it all – money, wife and kids. He was the glue holding together his tight-knit circle of friends. Now he’s gone, he leaves behind a huge void – and a million questions.
While everyone’s trying to make sense of Jon’s decision, it’s a poignant reminder that the façade of happiness can be deceiving.
At the time of Jon’s death, Rome was seconds from taking his own life, Gary was facing a cancer prognosis, and Eddie was planning to leave his wife – for someone in the group.
Don’t be fooled by the morbid premise – this multifaceted drama about life, love and loss is full of heart and humour. TV WEEK has compiled a who’s who guide to the cast of A Million Little Things.
A Million Little Things will premiere on Network 10 and WIN Network on Wednesday, 14 November at 9.30pm.
