Prince George was enjoying the stunning display of military tradition from a window of Buckingham Palace.

The little Prince enthusiastically looked on as his mother The Duchess of Cambridge, rode in a carriage with the Duchess of Cornwall and his father Prince William mounted a horse alongside Princess Anne and Prince Charles.

In her first public appearance since the birth of daughter Princess Charlotte, Kate looked beautiful in a blue Catherine Walker dress.

The spectacle started about 10am local time, with royals riding on carriages and on horseback from Buckingham Palace to Horse Guards Parade, alongside soldiers marching.

Her Majesty then joined the Royal Family on the palace’s balcony to watch an RAF flypast.

Thousands travelled to watch the parade, which takes place on a Saturday in June every year to celebrate the Queen’s birthday.

More to come.
