Usually primed, proper and perfect, our beloved Princess Mary has given us all a glimmer of hope by proving that even royals have bad hair days. When they’re climbing bridges, on a windy day, in the rain …
Well, it is a bit of a stretch, but when she doesn’t put a foot wrong for more than 12 years, can you blame us?
The Princess spent Sunday climbing bridges in Denmark, where she became the first person to climb the newly opened Old Little Belt Bridge.
Mary left the gowns, fascinators and heel behind for a safety-suit and practical ponytail. But unfortunately in the windy conditions, her pony didn’t hold. Princess Mary struggled to keep her brown tresses under control until she got down onto flat ground.
Where, of course, she returned to looking perfect. Oh, well.

Kate is no stranger to windy hair days either.
Or a breezy skirt, or two.
Or three…
Or — well, you get it.
Someone didn’t tell Princess Victoria about the “nude bra + camera flashes” rule.
Or Queen Maxima.

And her veil!
Even Diana wasn’t safe from blustery winds.
If looks could kill … Diana’s usually perfectly coiffed hair gets put on blast.
