Stepping out on behalf of their mental health charity, Heads Together, Prince William, Duchess Catherine and Prince Harry worked up a sweat as they raced against each other at the London Marathon Community Track at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London.
Showing their competitive streak was alive and well, the three egged each other on before they took to the track.
William even teased that he’d pulled a muscle, joking: “Oh my hamstring!”
Prince Harry proved to be the fastest of them all, coming in at first place. At one point, the 32-year-old glanced over his shoulder to make sure he was beating his brother.
While big brother Wills came second and Duchess Catherine was a close third.
At the finish line, Prince William embraced his wife with a congratulatory hug.
Catherine kept things sporty in a red puffer jacket, black skinny-leg jeans and New Balance sneakers. During the race, the mother-of-two tied her brunette locks up into a stylish ponytail.
Heads Together, which aims to break down the barriers surrounding mental health, has been named the official charity of the year and the organisation is currently encouraging people to get involved for the London marathon.
More than 150 volunteers attended the training event for the upcoming race, which will be held on Sunday, April 23.
The royal trio have been working tirelessly with Heads Together to help raise awareness surrounding mental health.
At the start of this year, Prince William revealed their 2017 mission, explaining in a passionate speech he wants as many people as possible to have a conversation about mental health and run the marathon.
“It is our ambition to make this year’s Virgin Money London Marathon the Mental Health Marathon – a major opportunity to help change the conversation on mental health, and to get people talking. And for that, we really need your help,” the 34-year-old said.
“We need as many people as possible – famous or not – who can help showcase what it’s like to have a conversation with a friend, family or stranger. All your ideas are welcome,” Harry added.
