Proud dad Dwayne has taken to Instagram to reveal his bub’s beautiful name – Jasmine!
“Kinda crazy but in this cool and powerful skin to skin bonding moment with my newborn baby Jasmine, I had just one wish I asked the universe. Give me the strength to be a better man today than I was yesterday. If I can accomplish that, then I’d have a good shot at being a great father,” the smitten new dad penned alongside a black and white snap with his tiny daughter.
He added: “Something else that’ll never steer you wrong is “walking thru the fire” with your baby’s mama. I was right there during labor, helping her breathe, every highly intense contraction, every second of pain, right there watching the actual birth, cutting the cord and wiping the tears. Incredible.”
“Now don’t get me wrong boys, it wasn’t like I was at the end of the table, squatting like a catcher waiting for the fastball to come down the pike…but as men, it’s a miracle we should witness because it’ll give you a whole new respect for the strength and beauty of a woman.”
Meanwhile an insider told ET that the wrestler-turned-actor “was very emotional and excited seeing his newborn daughter for the first time” before adding, “both parents are said to be beyond happy for this next chapter in their lives.”
Last month, the hunky actor revealed he was set to become a dad for the second time, taking to Instagram to share the delightful news.
“I was raised by and live with amazing and strong women, so the universe felt we needed one more… IT’S A BABY GIRL!!!” he captioned a selfie with Lauren showing off her bump.
Regraming the same snap, Lauren gave her Instagram followers an insight into her pregnancy.
“So grateful and in awe of this time. To experience creating a little life is just incredible,” she wrote over the weekend.
“This beautiful cycle of life and womanhood beginning again. And like Big Daddy says – Couldn’t be prouder of all the kickass women she’s going to have around her! And men of course ;)…”
Like her partner, Lauren showed her funny side by adding the hashtag, “Let’s just hope big daddy doesn’t equal 20 pound baby!”
The family’s new addition marks the first child for Lauren and the second for Dwayne, who shares 14-year-old daughter Simone with ex-wife Dany Garcia.
Just a few weeks ago the fit actor spoke of his love for his partner of eight years.
“I wake up every day so grateful and so thankful that you have someone like [her]. Someone who you can walk through the world with,” the 43-year-old gushed, calling the relationship his “most prized thing.”
Grinning he added, “The smile is real when I think about that.”
