Her Majesty, 92, has been spotted with a never-before-seen portrait of her grandson Prince Harry and his new wife, Meghan Markle, on a table in her living room in Buckingham Palace.

The darling image was visible as the beloved monarch welcomed the Honorable George Brandis, the Australian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, for a private audience on Wednesday, May 30.

The picture sits proudly on a table in her living room in Buckingham Palace.

In the shot, the Duke of Sussex poses in a navy suit-and-tie combo, while the Duchess โ€” dressed in what appears to be a pale blue dress โ€” smiles beside him with her hand lovingly placed on his chest.

It remains unclear just where and when the snap was taken, however thereโ€™s speculation it could have been taken by the coupleโ€™s wedding photographer Alexi Lubomirski as part of their engagement shoot at Frogmore House in December.

Alexi, whoโ€™s previously photographer the likes of Julia Roberts, Beyoncรฉ, and Keira Knightley, recently opened up about working with the duo on their big day.

Speaking with the BBC, the shutterbug revealed the touching backstory behind the now-iconic photo of the newlyweds enjoying a candid moment on the steps of the East Terrace at Windsor Castle.

The stunning photo was one of three official shots released by the palace following the coupleโ€™s nuptials.

He managed to capture the black-and-white photo during a tiny window of opportunity before the wedding reception.

โ€œWe went out there and had about three and a half minutes to take some quick shots because everything was running like clockwork,โ€ the shutterbug explained.

โ€œThe sun is setting right just over the top of Windsor Castle just behind them, it was just the most serene, beautiful light, theyโ€™re in love, walking around this beautiful garden,โ€ he reflected.

โ€œIt was just one of those magical moments when youโ€™re a photographer and everything falls into place. I said โ€˜just before you go in, sit on those stairs.'โ€

Alexi also revealed the relaxed pose on the stairs came about because the newly-minted husband and wife were simply knackered from such an emotionally-draining day.

โ€œ[Meghan] just slumped in between his legs, and there was this moment where they were just laughing because they were joking about how they were exhausted and finally itโ€™s all over. They just looked at each other and they were just laughing, and it was this just beautiful moment, and, when you are taking the pictures, you know you have something.โ€
