Prince George’s already very stylish wardrobe yesterday received a boost from his Grandmother, Queen Elizabeth as she gifted him with a collection of new clothes from historic British fashion house John Smedley.

The Queen was touring the county of Derbyshire in England, accompanied by her husband, Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh when the couple visited the knitwear label’s historic factory and were presented with a selection of specially made children’s clothes by the label.

The Royal couple were given a tour of the factory, which is celebrating it’s 230th anniversary this year. While there, they met with some of the 400 workers who are currently employed there and were shown how the garments are cut and made. The Queen showed a particular interest in the industrial knitting machines as well as some of the historic archived garments.

The Queen already a regular customer of the British label, having first toured the facility over 40 years ago, in 1968.  She was presented with a favourite garment of hers, which she regularly purchases while the Duke also received a midnight blue sweater. Prince George meanwhile, received a selection of Rhino polo shirts and Aardvark sweaters.

The young Prince has already received more gifts before his first birthday than many of us receive in a lifetime! We’re sure this latest one will keep him on top as the most stylish Royal.

Queen Elizabeth yesterday gifted her grandson Prince George with a selection of British designer garments.

The Queen was touring Derbyshire with her husband Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh.

As well as receiving a hamper from the people of Derbyshire, the Queen was presented with a selection of knitwear garments for herself and the Duke of Edinburgh as well as a selection of childrenswear for young Prince George by British fashion house John Smedley

Prince George has already been previously voted the best dressed Royal by the British public.

George’s Mum, Duchess Catherine, always ensures Prince George steps out looking dapper – and he never wears the same outfit twice!

The fashion house John Smedley, is a historic British knitwear label that this year celebrates it’s 230th anniversary.

John Smedley normally specialises in high quality contemporary knitwear for men and women, so it was unusual for them to create childrenswear and hence a special honour for young Prince George.

Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip were given a tour of the garment making facility where they saw how the knitted garments were produced on an industrial scale.

Prince George is already quite the fan of polo shirts and knitwear, so he is sure to enjoy the new addition to his wardrobe from his Grandma!
