Two days after his arrival, the proud parents have announced all the details via Madeleine’s father, King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden.

King Carl made the announcement at a cabinet meeting in front of the Swedish parliament that his grandson was named Nicolas Paul Gustaf and will go by the title of the Duke of Ångermanland.

The bub’s middle name is a nod to Christopher’s late father Paul, who passed away in 2004, while Gustaf is a popular name within the Swedish royal family.

Earlier in the week Madeleine and Christopher, who are also the proud parents to one-year-old Princess Leonore, released the first official photo of Nicolas through the Swedish Royal Family’s facebook page.

In the cute snap, the newborn sleeps peacefully in a grey onesie.
