Royal watchers are growing restless while they wait for the fourth in line to throne to make an appearance, but they’ve found a novel way to pass the time!

Many fans have taken to Twitter – often with the hashtag #GreatKateWait or #royalbaby2 to express their annoyance.

@KyCopsWife678 posted: “I’ve decided that if the #RoyalBabyWatch isn’t ended by Tue I’m going to tie a steak around Kate’s neck, turn loose every dog to chase her.”

@RoyalKateUpdate wrote: “FYI Baby Cambridge, the 27th is a good day to be born”

“KNOWING you’re without internet for the better part of an hour is one of the WORST feelings in the world when it’s during #GreatKateWait,”- @TheDuchessLife joked.

“Sooo…. My phone was suspended data wise and I just saw my bill.. $1,400 just for data.. That was all for #Royalbaby2,” @RoyallyWillKate hilariously wrote.

Duchess Catherine herself has previously confirmed she is due “mid to late April” and with the final days of the month now drawing to a close, many believe she is in fact past her due date.

Doctors have also said that Duchess Catherine is five days overdue and may have to be induced.

British bookmakers widely favoured an ANZAC day baby, with April 25th by far the most popular date for the second royal with 80% of punters placing bets that that would be the day the bub arrived. Clearly though, those punters have already lost out!

Particularly fanatic royal fans have taken to bracing the cold and camping outside Kate’s hospital, the Lindo Wing, adorned with Union Jacks and royal memorabilia to wait for William and Catherine’s arrival.

While some fans are getting impatient, the young royal’s impending arrival has been a boon for the British tourism industry, with ticket sales reportedly skyrocketing for visits to the various royal palaces.

It seems that this new royal is already determined to do things on their own terms. Now let the waiting resume!
