Sophie, Countess of Wessex has taken a leaf out of Duchess Catherine’s very fashion-forward book by wearing a pair of boots reminiscent of Kate’s go-to style.
The countess, 55, visited Coverwood Farm in the UK on Thursday afternoon, and given the day’s activities on the ranch, she dressed accordingly.
And that included some very farm-appropriate shoes.
Wearing a warm roll neck jumper in navy blue, as well as a pair of blue jeans, Sophie looked casual and relaxed as she met the resident farmer and his family who live on the beautiful property.
But it was Sophie’s footwear that stole the show – a pair of brown rider boots that reached just below her knee.
Of course, Sophie’s fellow royal Kate Middleton also has a pair of riding boots she’s worn on many an occasion for the outdoors – her beloved Penelope Chilvers.
And perhaps Sophie’s been taking note – there’s no denying it, both royal women look amazing in them!
Sophie, who is married to the Queen’s youngest son, Prince Edward, explored a few areas on the farm, looking at cattle and grabbing a hot drink and a bite to eat as she made her way around.
She also had a look at the new Provenance Cuts building – there, she unveiled a plaque to mark its new beginning.
This was one of many outdoorsy jaunts undertaken by the countess recently.
Earlier this month, Sophie stepped out with her husband and two children, Lady Louise Windsor, aged 16, and son James, Viscount Severn, aged 12, for a special beach clean up day in Portsmouth.
The family were given litter picks and large plastic bags to fill as they made their way down the rocky beach.
In candid images from the event, the family were seen looking happy and at ease as they joined a number of volunteers for the environmentally-conscious event.
With that and a visit to a local farm under her belt, it looks like Sophie really living up to her down to earth nature – more boots, more outings, please!
