At this point, we really don’t know what to believe about The Bachelorette Australia couple Sophie Monk and Stu Laundy.
But whether or not their romance is one big conspiracy, the couple are using the 2017 ARIA Awards to send a message loud and clear – they’re together.
Speaking to Now to Love on the red carpet, Sophie admitted her relationship was still finding it’s groove in the aftermath of The Bachelorette Australia.
“It’s not real life yet. It’s like being high school. People gossip, it will settle down,” she said of adjusting to life after the show.
Soph also weighed in on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s engagement, telling us she wouldn’t announce her wedding “royally” and instead share the happy news “on Instagram.”
The former Popstar favourite, who first walked the ARIAs red carpet back in her Bardot days, also revealed she’s planning to drop new music with the one and only Kasey Chambers.
“Kasey Chambers wants to work with me on something,” the reality star revealed to us exclusively.
“We’ll see, I don’t want to look like a tool,” she laughed of the upcoming collaboration.
Meanwhile Stu Laundy told us that Sophie had finally met his four daughters but they’re still yet to lock in a full family catch up.
“[They’ve met] in bits and pieces, they have but not all at once. My daughters are really busy on school camps and everything so they haven’t really had time,” the 45-year-old said.
This marks their first red carpet event as a couple and for their dazzling debut, Sophie opted for an eye-popping fuchsia-pink jacket dress, towering black stilettos, a slicked-back ponytail and a bronzed glow.
Millionaire publican Stu kept things classic in a navy suit jacket, a white shirt and black trouser pants.
In the past, they’ve admitted their not fans of PDA and it was a mantra they seemed to be sticking to on Tuesday evening, before cuddling up for the cameras in front of the media wall.
“We are very affectionate when the cameras aren’t around. He’s got kids as well, we’re not going to be all over each other,” the Bachelorette beauty told Kyle and Jackie O last month.
“I think it’s more of a young thing as well, when you’re 21 or something. Behind closed doors [we’re affectionate] but I’ve never been that person to put it in people’s faces,” Sophie continued.
“It is a bit ridiculous. I’ve got four daughters, they come first to me. Sorry, I’m not going to be a public display of affection guy. Sorry,” a defiant Stu agreed.
“I’ve never been that guy. Sophie could make me that guy!”
Sophie is set to take to the stage later this evening to present an award but she assures us she won’t be out hitting the dance floor at any after parties.
