Our favourite Scottish heartthrob, Sam Heughan is making his way down under to Australia with his Outlander cadre.
Sam first graced the screen in August 2014 as the hunky Highlander, Jamie Fraser and naturally viewers swooned over him and have done so for many years.
While Scotland is a flight away, it can feel like lightyears away from Australian residents. But in a brilliant and unexpected announcement, Sam Heughan is making a small press tour in Oz.
“The @outlander_starz boyband is coming to 🇦🇺!!!!!” he began on Instagram. “Delighted to see all our friends down-under, tickets still available Sydney and Melbourne.
“Can’t wait to see you there!x”
Sam will be joined by his fellow Outlander cast members Duncan Lacroix (Murtagh Fitzgibbon), David Berry (Lord John Grey), John Bell (Ian Murray) and Charles Vandervaart (William Ransom). Sadly, it appears Catriona Balfe (Claire Fraser) won’t be in attendance.
But the Scottish hunk as warned his fans, “Just don’t ask me to sing.”
The first event will occur in Sydney on February 24, 2024, at UNSW Kensington from 8am to 6pm. Meanwhile down in Melbourne, the event will be on February 25, 2024, at The Timber Yard, Port Melbourne.
While Sam’s visits to Australia have been infrequent, he has a rather deep infatuation with the country.
In early 2016, he touched down in Sydney to promote the second season of Outlander. But our ears particularly pricked in late 2020 when the Scottish hunk jokingly told Stellar Magazine that he “needs to move to Australia” after three of the most Googled questions centred around his relationship status.
“Well, what I know is that Google localises questions based on what area you’re in, so it sounds like I need to move to Australia,” he said.
To this day, whether or not Sam Heughan is single or not remains a question on everyone’s lips. But the Outlander star is single and has never married.
