Sam Frost has returned to Instagram weeks after posting a controversial video revealing her unvaccinated status with a heartfelt message.
The 32-year-old deleted her account after receiving backlash for her comments about the Covid vaccine where she equated “segregation” with those who want a vaccine and those who choose not to have it.
Taking to her Instagram stories on Wednesday night, Sam posted a now-deleted message dedicated to her fans, friends, family, and co-stars, who have supported her through what is perhaps the biggest controversy of her career.
The Home and Away star typed her letter over a picture of the sky, and she first thanked everyone who sent her kind messages.
“Thank you for the enormous amount of support and love over the past few weeks,” she penned.
“I received thousands and thousands of beautiful messages & emails I appreciate it, more than you’ll ever know.”
Sam continued to pay tribute to the important people in her life who stood by her.
“Incredibly grateful for my friends, family & work colleagues who held my hand through the storm, and loved me unconditionally,” she wrote.
Finally, she signed off her message, “Kindness always wins.
“With all of my heart, thank you xxx.”
Before posting on her story, the former Bachelorette shared a selfie of her new hair colour with her hairstylist Ella.
She captioned the snap, “Freshhhh ✨ @ellajeanhairandmakeup.”
Her co-star Georgie Parker shared her support and love for the new makeover by posting a slew of heart emojis.
In the now-deleted video, Sam shared she had “good reasons” not to get the vaccine but chose to keep them private, then called for “empathy” for people who choose to remain unvaccinated.
“I was really hesitant about doing a video or even speaking up about this sort of thing,” she said in the five-minute-long video.
“But I feel like it’s getting to a point now in the world where there’s a lot of segregation, a lot of harsh judgment, and it’s taking its toll on my mental health.”
