Congratulations are in order for Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes!
The pair, who have been dating for three years, are expecting their first child together in October.
A friend of Eva’s told People, that while she never thought she would get married or have children, she has changed her mind.
“With Ryan things are different….she’s very independent but she’s content with her partner. She finally found the person she really wants to be with,” the friend said.
Eva, 40, and Ryan, 33, who tend to keep their relationship private, haven’t been photographed together since November, while Eva hasn’t been seen in public since March.
In that same month, Eva laughed off pregnancy rumours during an interview with Ellen.
“It’s so ridiculous,” she said.
“It all started because I didn’t want to go through the scanners at the airport. You know those X-ray scanners, which are really creepy? They basically see you naked, right? And not only that, but there’s a radiation aspect to it, so I always opt out.”
This will be the first child for both actors who co-starred together as parents in the 2012 drama The Place Beyond the Pines.
