She’s a member of the royal family as well as one of Britain’s foremost equestriennes, but that didn’t automatically guarantee Zara Phillips entry to the VIP section at Cheltenham racecourse.
In a rather embarrassing incident on Tuesday, the Olympics silver medallist was left furious when she was blocked from an exclusive enclosure at the Cheltenham Festival by an overzealous security guard.
With her husband Mike Tindall by her side, Zara was seen arguing with the bouncer, who eventually realised who she was and let her through.
The down-to-earth royal, dressed elegantly in a cream coat and purple hat, didn’t let the the small set-back and the miserable weather ruin her day. She was later seen laughing, smiling and chatting with her husband.

Zara and Mike were momentarily denied access to the VIP area.
Once in, Zara legged it to the VIP area.
The pair were later seen laughing about the incident.
