The United Kingdom has officially entered their first day of mourning after the world-stopping news of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II’s death.
It is in 10 days’ time that the public will say their final goodbyes to the longest serving monarch during her funeral.
The service is expected to be held at Westminster Abbey, making her the first sovereign to have a funeral here since 1760.

Westminster Abbey normally holds 2,200 congregants. However, extra seating can be arranged to hold more than 8,000 people, which is what happened for Her Majesty’s coronation.

(Image: Getty)It’s a given that most of the royal family will be in attendance, including her children King Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Edward and the embattled Prince Andrew.
The Queen’s eldest grandson and now next in line for the throne Prince William is also expected to attend, along with his wife Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge.
Prince Harry is also set to join the service, while there has been much speculation as to whether or not his wife, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex will make an appearance.
It is unclear whether Meghan, Duchess of Sussex will attend the service.

None of the young ones attended Prince Philip’s funeral – but this fell during COVID-19 restrictions, meaning the guest list was limited.
Meghan, Duchess of Sussex also didn’t make the trip to the UK for the Duke of Edinburgh’s memorial, but this was due to her being unable to fly in the late stages of her pregnancy.
